RF & Wireless

RF Power Calibrations

Calibrate RF output for optimal performance

  • Achieve optimal SNR

  • Avoid RF amp clipping

  • Avoid dangerous RF levels

  • Higher reliability

  • Better consistancy

  • Higher reliability

RF fingers

Eliminate unwanted RF interference

RF doors and covers require regular maintenance.  RF leaks lower SNR and speed performance.

  • Clean all surfaces

  • Remove all corrosion

  • Assure Proper grounding

  • Replace any broken or missing fingers or mesh

  • Verify door bladder operation if applicable

  • Test for RF leaks with signal generator and spectrum analyzer as required.

Wi-Max

Clear wireless internet deployment

  • Clear wireless 4G wimax modem and router

  • External SMA antenna port

  • Trendnet 9dBi wi-fi Antenna

  • Locate Tower position with android cellular app

Wi-FI Signal Strength

Optimize your wi-fi signal

  • Using linux

  • watch -n 1 cat /proc/net/wireless

  • Notes:
  • Internet speed is directly proportional to signal strength

  • wi-fi signal plummits with distance

On the Go internet

  • HTC EVO on a foam Noodle

  • Sprint 4G

  • Raspberry Pi 2 running raspbian & QMI driver

  • USB Hub

  • Crossover eithernet cable

  • IBM ThinkPad running Debian

  • USB cable from Hub to keep EVO charged

QMI Modem Driver

Compiled QMI driver connectivity

Qualcom has updated the first generation modem AT commands to meet today’s wireless modem requirements.   In order to get the Raspberry-PI to communicate with the Netgear Air Card as a modem the Qualcom QMI driver had to be compiled on the raspberry Pi running . raspbian The Laptop, Raspberry Pi and AirCard can all communicate nicely through a USB Hub.
